The Fenton Memorial Deaconess Home was built to honor and serve Methodist deaconesses in 1917. To this day, United Methodist deaconesses and home missioners are able to stay at the house free of charge to experience all that Chautauqua offers.

The Home is open during the summer season, both to deaconesses & home missioners and to other guests. In the off-season, the Home hosts classes for deaconesses and home missioners in training.
